Who is to blame for the tragic events in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein?
In Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein”, all family member of Frankenstein died because Victor Frankenstein didn’t honor commitments and the society’s isolation which caused the monster’s revenge , so the creator – the source of the tragedy is the person should be blame for. The tragedy was directly caused by the monster, but further more, is because of his creator. At first, he abandoned the monster he created. As a parent, this is a very irresponsible behavior. Even the whole world abandoned him, his parent should always stay at his side. But he didn’t and this, caused the beginning of the tragedy. Fortunately, the monster was still a kind person. But other reason of the murder is because he was been isolating because of his ugly appearance. Then, gradually, he lost the love in society. He was all alone; he had neither parents nor friends. So he requested the scientist to create a female monster then they would leave together. But even this small request had been rejected.This irritated the monster. Finally, he lost all trust with humanity, and he started the crazy revenge. He killed all person who the creator loved and finally became suicide.To conclude, although the monster killed everyone, it was still their retribution because they didn’t give any care to the monster. The Victor Frankenstein is the person who should be blame for the most. It was him, he create the monster and abandoned the monster. He started the whole story and at the same time, caused the tragedy.

In the poem ” Invictus”, the author William Ernest Henley provided a me-determined disposition. Even the author was in a ” clutch circumstance”, but he didn’t “wince” nor “cried aloud”, instead, he was still thankful about it because he had a ” unconquerable soul”. He believe that ” I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul”. This belief gave him strength to carry on, to keep his ” bloody head unbowed” although it was ” under the bludgeonings of chance”. It didn’t matter that he was in a ” place of wrath and tears” with the ” menace of the years”, but finally, they will ” finds, and shall find, me unafraid”. ” It seems like the war between humanity and nature will start soon”, thought Dr. Jiang, watching the world news. ” The natural disasters is coming worldwide. Two third of the humanity have dead because of it. The United Nations tried to negotiate with nature but nature refused. This makes The United Nations really angry so they declared the war on nature.This is CCTV news. I am reporter Kevin Lee”. Turned off the TV, Dr. Jiang had a long heavy sigh. ” It’s not what I want”, he thought, ” Humanity need nature. They will die without nature.Stupid The United Nations. Stupid humanity.” He got up to go to the hospital. When he open the door, there was the chairman of The United Nations’ secretary standing outside.
” Dr. Jiang”, he bowed, tears was shining in his deep, old and tired eyes,” please help us! Help the humanity!” He held his hands, looking at him eagerly. As the best surgeon left in this world, the burden on his shoulders was really heavy. They went to the United Nations and had a negotiation with the leader of nature again. This time, the nature said yes. But he asked the surgeon to recover the hurt part of nature include every animal and plant in one weak. After they make everything the same as before the humanity destroy it, he would return all the humanity that was dead in disaster. He just hided them somewhere else.
One weak! That’s so hard. He called his assistant Dr. Chen for help then they went to the operation room. But when she saw the ” victims”, she had no idea about how to do .
” I’m sorry, Dr. Jiang. I don’t know how to do it on plants”, she tuned back, seems leaving.
” Start anesthesia!”, he shouted,” Quickly! We will all die if we cannot finish it in one weak!” She looked down for a while then came up again. This time, her eyes was filled with confident. She nodded and began.They didn’t relax that weak until the last second. They finished! They did it! They gave everything back to the nature and they saw their family were standing behind the nature, smiling.
The next second, everything went back to several years ago. Everyone has their family. Everyone was happy. Nature was thriving. Everything was the same as several years ago. But the only difference was, the humanity treated nature nicely this time.
Is Life Pre-determined or Me-determined?
Life is pre-determined.
Some one said the world’s greatest lie is that at a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what’s happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate. Some people don’t believe it because they did achieve something by their big effort, they can make some small changes, but in general, the ending, the result is controlled by fate. I don’t know if you have a feeling that you like or hate something with no reasons. There is nothing happened before that would impact your interests, means you are born to love or hate something. That means someone has arranged it before you was born. That is your fate or your destiny.
If you are born to be a millionaire, no matter what you do, there must be many ways to be a millionaire. If you love travelling, you may find treasures. If you love studying, you may become a business man and earn a lot of money. If you are a really bad person, you may win from buying lottery. It is all because you are born to be a millionaire. That’s your destiny.
You might know someone who is a really good student but he didn’t study that much, and there is also someone who studied so hard but still couldn’t get a good mark. It could be something wrong with the study method. But I believe it the individual differences. Some people were born to be good at sports, and some people were born very clumsy. They could get better if they exercise a lot but they will never reach the level of the people who are born sporty. Some people were born in a very rich family, so many things would be easier for them. Some people were born having congenital heart disease… There are so many examples of destiny but in general, that is their fate. They cannot change it no matter how hard they try.
Look at the famous scientist and inventors. For example, Albert Einstein, a high intelligence person who had noncountable contribution in math and physics. He was born very clever and talented. He did need to make a lot of effort to achieve his destiny. But some other person, no matter how hard they tried, they can never reach the level of Einstein. That’s his talent. That’s his fate.
Pre- determined doesn’t mean no choosing. Your choice is important. It is the way that you reach your destiny.You can choose the way you like to reach it. The result is probably not as good as you expect because that has been already arranged. But you reach it in the way you like. The important thing is you enjoy the progress.
To conclude, everyone is an individual existence in this enormous world. You are different from anyone else. You have your own traits and your special page. Eventually, you will reach your own destiny.
The Relationship Between Humanity and the Environment
The relationship between human and nature is parasitism,which means one side benefits from another side and be harmful to it at the same time. Human benefits from the nature, but we are also hurting the nature. It seems like we can use the nature infinitely, the nature will never revenge us. Let me tell you a story first.
One day, after the old houses were removed, the owner of this area took the buyer to see the place. But when they arrived there, there is a big hole at the center of that area. They looked inside but they could only see the dark deep hole. They felt scared then decided to come back with more person the next day. They came back again the next day with so many friends, reporters, scientists and authority. The owner first threw a small stone inside but they didn’t hear any sound of collision. It seems like this hole has no ending. Everyone was scared at first, but as time goes on, they threw a lots of things inside, and nothing happened. So many years past, we threw everything inside, garbage, photos and dairy after couples breaking up, rotting human bodies, chemical wastes, the state secrets and so on. The sky became really clean and clear. Everyone lives happily. One day, the owner was standing outside in the garden so enjoy the situation that his hole create, then there was a small stone fell behind him from the sky. His thought it was probably the kids’ games from the window of the building. So his continued enjoying himself…
The story finished. The stone that fell behind him was the stone that he threw into the hole at first. Then, we can guess, everything that we threw into the hole will come back again. What will it be like? No fresh air and blue sky anymore. The world will be in a chaos because the secrets that several years ago will come out and cause the world war. That will be the ending of the human’s page in history. So don’t think we can use our nature infinitely. There will be one day, nature will return everything which we did to it in the past .

In the article ” There Will Come Soft Rains” by Ray Bradbury, the author used figurative language such as imagery, motif, symbolism and personification successfully to enhance the meaning and deepen his work. Ray Bradbury uses imagery to create the situation after human destroyed their Earth planet and how they destroyed their planet themselves. They threw the atomic bombs because of the war, and everything was gone except “ the five spots of paint —— the man, the woman, the children,the ball”, it creates a picture in the readers’ mind of the results after the destructive war. Later, a cigar dropped on the floor, the fire began. The fire was like “ ten billion angry sparks moved with flaming ease from room to room and then up the stairs”, spreading so fast like the speed that human dead after the atomic bomb which was represent by “cigar” dropped. On the other hands, Bradbury uses personification to make everything in the house alive “The weather box on the front door sang quietly”, then he adds “the rain tapped on the empty house, echoing.” foreshadowing the extinction of human being.The house symbolizes the achievement of human society. Bradbury personifies the furnitures in the room “Today is August 4, 2026,” said a second voice from the kitchen ceiling” which are represent the human used to live in the house. In the middle of the article “flaming ease from room to room…Picassos and Matisses in the upper halls, like delicacies, baking off the oily flesh, tenderly crisping the canvases into black shavings.” this quotation especially symbolizes the destruct of the whole human civilization. The author uses imagery and symbolism to show the readers the tragedy in the future if we don’t change our behaviours. Everything we did and are doing now is destroying the Earth, which is the only planet that we can stay at. War, the overstate of the human importance, is a good way to accelerate the destroy of the Earth. We will die in the future and the knife will be provided by ourselves. Stop what we are doing. Let’s stay together and protect the Earth.

I would like to use one word to describe the relationship between human and nature after reading this poem: parasitism. Human need nature otherwise we cannot survive. But, it will be great for nature if mankind perished utterly. ” Soft rains” will come and ” swallows circling with their shimmering sound” because they feel safe and happy, they have no worries. ” Frogs… singing at night” and ” plum- trees in tremulous white”. The author use rhythm and personification to express the happiness of animals. And also, ” no one will care ” , no one will mind because everyone is free. Everyone can go wherever they want and do whatever they like. That’s the life that everyone want. But it will only exist if mankind perished utterly.
